I must be losing my grip!

For 31 years MTl has always held back a present to tease me. Sometimes it would be midnight before it woud suddenly appear under the tree. This year with all he's had to contend with - it never occurred to me in a million years - after all I bought my handbag for him. So now Boxing Day morning I suddenly noticed a tiny red parcel which he told me had been there since yesterday tea-time. And here is this sweet antique brooch. I shall treasure it.

He's such a star, he wouldn't look out of place on top of a Christmas tree.

Well, maybe a bit.

Blimey, that is so sexy. No wonder you're still in love.

I promise you darling, the first 30 years are the learning ones. After that it keeps on getting better. All health and happiness for you both in 2011 and thereafter. You already know how to treasure every minute, cling to each beloved memory.

I love that you didn't notice it until this morning!

All: he is all those things and more. I know I am the luckiest of women and spoilt rotten to boot. I really do appreciate him and am happy he falls a little short of sainthood (but don't shout it abroad)
It goes without saying that I'd swap everything to have him back to normal health.
Bliss was tempered by a blocked shower and three buckets under the kitchen ceiling this evening. Back to the drawing board. Time we opened the Cote du Rhone.

He proves, yet again, that nice guys are the best! And it takes a special woman to appreciate a nice guy.

UB: The jeweller - a man of few words, said it was Victorian. If he is there he always gives MTL an un- asked for discount- much appreciated.

Eryl: apparently he managed to park at the Co-op and walked from there.
