Yesterday was a perfect day.

I'm talking weatherwise and I wondered where would be a good place to wallow in such beauty today, when surely the weather would be the same. It's looking hopeful so I think we'll return to Exbridge where we celebrated Joy's 80th last year. Fingers crossed.

In the garden all the beds are overrun with wild primroses - a favourite - and grape hyacinths - not such a favourite but tolerated for their heavenly blue.
As Karen said today I remember why I love being a gardener.

I'm sure you kmow flowers have their own language so I'll remind you of the ones presently blooming.

Magnolia - Have courage.
Camellia - I am longing for you
Daffodil The sun always shines when I am with you
Hyacinth Please forgive me.
Primrose I might love you.

Pat, we share a genuine love for nature my dear. The heather outside of my window is fragrant and makes me appreciate the things many take for granted.

Jimmy: heather and the loch. Who's the lucky boy?

With all those nice tables, I trust you had a picnic with YTL.

Cheers.

A plant (I think it's latin name is 'some sort of lily'!) which I thought was dead and gone, has suddenly resurected itself and promises to be even more beautiful than it's last outing!

I think I shall call it HOPE! :¬)

Magnolia! I think ours was blown to smithereens a week ago - the same night that the greenhouse blew over!

I love that I can indulge my "Miss Marple" fantasy by reading your blog. The photo's are fabulous.
I have book on "Old English Villages" and my favorite picture are always the ones with stone bridges, Castle Combe for one.
Your photo was so much better ! lunch by the river, lovely.

I've been reading about the health benefits of being around plants...how they relieve stress, produce negative ions, all sorts of good things.

Your pictures make me want to run outdoors and walk, sniff the air and just *be*.

Randall: wine by the river - lunch inside with the parrot Kiwi.

Mapstew: that has to be a good omen:)

Granny Annie: it is much of the time;)

Eryl: as in 'the primrose path'?

Sandy: what excitement you've been having. Hope all is well.

Parsnip: the bridges are lovely and MTL and I spent many an hour gazing at the rushing burns when we were courting.

GG: the trees definitely give off oxygen to cleanse the air. The science probably isn't accurate but the result is.
Nature feeds the soul. Give in to your instincts - run outside and 'be':)

I always buy Carol some daffs soon as they're out. I never knew what daffs meant. I must be psychic!

FourD: go this minute and tell her what they mean.

Naomi: we are lucky that this is a place where change doesn't happen easily - if at all. Drives incomers mad:)
