Missed you!

I know how a dormouse must feel after waking from hibernation except I have been eating rather more than nectar, pollen flowers and hazelnuts. Also I’ve been focussed on revision and have happily completed well over half my pages. Must try to keep up the momentum and blog at the same time.

I wish you all a happy , healthy, peaceful 2010. I’m not a great one for New Year’s resolutions – I’m constantly trying to be a better person – with limited success - and I rather favour the following quotes:-

Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. ~Hal Borland

A New Year Resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other. Anon

Cheers for a new year and another chance to get it right. Oprah Winfrey.

Put the kettle on – I’ll be round later.

This is interesting...my cousin and I have been sharing such thoughts this morning about new years. It's the same but maybe, in our minds, we need to measure.

I don't do resolutions either. I try to set goals about everything, being a better person is one goal too.

I wish you the best of everything with your manuscript. Remember what I keep saying...film series...I swear it will be a hit this way too..... x x

Happy New Year to you and YTL.

Queenie: synopsises? are tricky. A book deal would be nice. Thank you for the wishes and I have every confidence that 2010 will be your year.

Randall: if we are not careful we go on doing this for weeks:)

Naomi: thank you. I know what you mean about one foot in front of the other. I'll go and give MTL his hug before he falls asleep;)

Hazelnuts? Sigh. Despite my best intentions I remain easily distracted by food.

Hope your start to 2010 was simply lovely and all the best for the year to come.

I love the quote about going in one year and out the other. I tend not to make resolutions, only an overall trying to improve. Oh to be a dormouse and feed on nectar.

Krimo: thank you:) Just reading about Alan Bennett filming in Seaton Carew - long time ago.

Parsnip: seems however much work one has done(on the book) it's never enough and already I'm thinking of emending a chapter. Thank you for your wishes:)

Miss D: thank you and I hope yours continues to be happy with or without hazelnuts.

St Jude: I find the quote quite relevant.
It's never to late to try to be better - I tell myself.
