Pat, you managed to get most of my favourite singers there!

Kate, Anna, Rufus, Mary, Emmylou,Karen.

Love this!

Mapstew: that was a happy accident. I only became aware of them this morning and thought how well they all blended together. Kate and Anna are lovely names.

Pat, I've only just discovered that the Lovely Kate McGarrigle passed away on Monday last from cancer, at the young age of 63.

Rest in peace Kate.

I have many CDs with one or more of these singing in harmony. I have never heard this and treasure the link. Thank you Pat!

Mapstew: that is a tragic loss. I'm glad she can still be heard. RIP.

Granny Annie: happy to have done something useful:)

An impressive selection of singers for the song.

Kate's last gig with Rufus and Martha at the Royal Albert Hall was only a few weeks ago. RIP.

I've never heard of Kate and Anna either, but that isn't surprising—sometimes I think I live in a cave.

Lovely voices all, single and together.

Hi Pat! Thanks for your visit & comment over at my blog! I always love hearing from new people!

Rashbre: that must have been a moving occasion.

Charlie: it's great that there is lovely music waiting to be discovered. And books to be read - there you have the upper hand:)

Wandering Coyote: me too. Sorry I got your gender wrong and your photo gives nothing away:)

Lovely! I had heard the names and was aware they had something to do with music, but...

Who was the lady with the long grey hair, she has strengthened my resolve about not dying?

Pat said...

Eryl: I think she may be one of the elder sisters but don't really know. Maybe Emma?
To me she looks like a grown up version of the little girl in a sit-com about 'Family'. Same dimple and all.
Keep that resolve good and strong.
