Pat, it looks idyllic! I look forward to seeing more photos. Welcome back!

My daughter was in London all last week, and has sent me many photos of I know-not-what. I will be looking to you to tell me what we are seeing when I post them, okay?

Hi Judy! I'll do my best. we'll have family here so between us we should be able to recognise our capital - but don't hold your breath:)

If that cottage had been in Scotland it would have been swarming with midges. There are times I miss the less bitey-insect dominated South coast of England

Kath: you'd love it.

Kim: Oddly there was a midge bitey thing in Dorset I remember hearing about and checked it wasn't where we were. And it wasn't.
Did you watch Andy Murray tonight or are you - like MTL not a fan?

I'm not a great tennis fan, but Maggie watched it through to the end, so I ended up watching the last set.

Strange how you never see the female tennis players showing off their muscles at the end of a game.
