Is it just me, or do I get the impression that you're getting desperate for votes? Tut, tut!
Keith
I know it well. I used to work there in the Stained Glass Workshops, and at Winchester Cathedral.
Keith
I just read the other guy's blog ... where do I vote for him in the "bad sex" awards? You're in the lead Pat, and you got my vote.
Keith : cheeky! Not desperste but not coy. Don't do half hearted and backing into lime light. I'm nominateed - vote for me! Or not!
I know you did so thank you. As I said to MTL if I beat my sexy opponent I shall view it as a victory of purity over porn!
Daphne; thanks for the vote. Hopefully it will all be over soon and I can switch off!
Keith: rhat's interesting - beautiful places to work. Is that why you are so holy? Did you retire to Leicestershire? People usually go south or far north. Did you see Ted Heath much?
You got my vote, Pat!
Michele sent me here.
Merci bien Jean-Luc!
You got it spot on, Daphne. He couldn't give us a good reason enough.
Pat, you just got my vote.
Thanks M! Maybe I should run for Parliament. Is it too late?
I voted for you too. :)
shopaholics anon: that's really nice of you. Thank you!
Pat, just voted for you. Ignore Keith, I`ll give him a good talking to on Tuesday. x.
Phew, just read his last post - anyway I voted for purity and you are way out in front - go you !
I have been enjoying reading your blog today - Salisbury Plain sounds a lovely place to walk. I remember Sunday afternoon walks with my father when I was a girl - I didn't take my own children walking often, sad to say, except when I took them orienteering - perhaps that makes up for the lack of other walks.
Michele sent me.
(Off to check out battle of the blogs now)
Hi Catherine:teaching your children orienteering would count for a great deal I'm sure. You must have happy memories of Salisbury Plain.
I voted for you.
From Michele
Margalit: thank you!
I voted, Pat! good luck!
Thanks Judy. I think it's gone on long enough now!
Now like last time I thought I'd left a comment - but something went wrong.. it really did this time. Anyway, I came, I saw, I voted..no contest was it? - good erotica is one thing, in VERY small doses - but this...boring, bad, a turn off after one sentence. Hope you haven't put MTL its way. He might think it would give you ideas for yours! (JOKING.)
GOOD luck in this. xxgp
grannyp: thanks for the vote but I had an anxiety dream last night and decided I don't much care for this sort of thing and will be glad when it's over. MTL is paranoid enough about the dangers of the internet so he'llkeep well away!
The Battle of the Blogs--sounds like a sci-fi movie out of the 50s, with gluey blogs taking over the earth... Good luck, and Michele says hi.
Hi Sage and welcome!
you're winning, with 61% of the vote!
Thanks Carli but I think it's going to go on for ever. This is just the first round!
You're up 62% to 38%. Go Pat!
|Now 4d I hope you didn't read the other one- it's not very nice!
Hi Pat! I owed you a comment from yesterday when blogger was playing up :-) I love the pic of Salisbury Cathedral. I went there for the day last year and also visited Old sarum where the site for the original cathedral cna also be seen.
I jusy wanted to say thank you for your kind words. It will pass, you are right, but right now I feel awful adn have more to deal with than my head can cope with right now. I will get through it though and kind words from people like you help adn remind me that not everyone out there is a bad apple.
bob-kat: chin up and don't let the bsstards get you down.xoxox
Hi Pat, thanks for stopping by from Michele's. It is just a joke, you get a countdown under meaningless arabic!
I voted for you by the way.
63/37 - in your favor! Good luck!
(here from Michele's)
Hi Veda: welcome and thank you!
Hello Pat, I did not come from Michele--I actually came from the Battle of the Blogs and your opponent's site. You say in your comments---purity over porno---well you have a long way to go for purity---my friend may post a post from time to time that he calls sex talks. He gives his readers warning and they can read it or not----He is one of the most caring of any person you will ever meet. He will be the first to call on his readers when others have a need--He is the first to offer support---he is the first to laugh with you---he is the first to cry with you--he is the first to hold you up when you need to be held up and by the way he even said in his post he was up against a nice lady---I say he was up against a hypocrite--You might win this round but there will be others Purity.----Oh by now you know you did not get my vote.
Vickie: I am sorry to have upset you. Anyone who knows me knows that the purity / porno remark was said with irony and not to be taken seriously. I am really glad to hearyour friend is such a decent person - there are not enough of them around and he is lucky to have so supportive a friend asa you.
I apologise if I have offended you or your friend or anyone else.
Hey Pat, I voted last week. For you, needless to say! I just checked and you're 63% to 37% so I think you might have nailed it, baby!
Just as a wee aside to Vickie, with respect: I've known Pat for some months now - chatting with her several times a week, here and there in blogland - and really, with respect, you have got her all wrong. There is nothing of the hypocrite in her, nothing at all. A little time spent here on her blog will convince you of that. She is open and warm and witty and wise and game; a great sport, and not at all afraid of any sort of discussion.
Perhaps it's because she's a sweet-faced grandmother that you have misjudged her and presumed her too prurient. Please spend some time poking round her site and you will soon realize that she is full of fun and has not a mean bone to her body. I know she never intended any offence to anyone because that is simply not, Pat. Please be assured of that.
I visited your friend's blog and he seems like a lovely fellow too. His last is something else! In fact, today alone I've seen Daniel Radcliffe's gorgeous naked form, been disturbed by it because i'm nearly twice his age and he's flippin' Harry Potter after all! and then read the post about the hotel sex. Blimey, that's a lot of mental imagery for a housewife in one day! I need to go and lie down and sort myself out - my head, I mean!
Best of luck, Pat, but I think you have it!
Pat ~ I retired from the stained glass workshop at Salibury and set up a craft unit in Warkwickshire called "Angel stained Glass" at Hoar Park. That's why I live here now.
No, I never met Ted Heath, but I have met Ken Mackintosh, Chris Barber and Sid Phillips. I did see Teds big band at DeMonfort Hall once.
Keith
Have you retired from that also? That's a lovely name for it.
I never know whether or not you are taking the mickey, but I meant Edward Heath the politician who, as I'm sure you know, lived in Salisbury in his latter years.
I used to fancy Jack parnell - Ted Heath's drummer! Not a word to Bessie!
