Reading about your tirp and the book.. but the bridge stopped me in my tracks! What a great view and perspective. It's photos like some of the ones you've posted on your site that remind me how young America really is!
I called the Problem Husband to come take a look at the bridge and he's gone off to Google it. It may be days now before I see him again.
The fish and chips part makes my mouth water. America does many things well but there's something wrong with their fish and chips. God, I miss them.
I'm with you on the wine at lunch thing. I've attempted with old pals from time to time to be a lady who lunches but I'm usually asleep by 3pm. I read about fatmammycat's lingering liquid lunches with envy and dismay.
Sam: I'm thrilled PH was interested. As well as fish and chips - according to my S in L when she was in Washington - they can't match our sausages either. It is zo embarrasing in the theatre when eveybody behind you can see your head slump and then jerk back into life.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

That's a nice bridge, and a very Hitchcokian shot of it.

Hi blond girl: I'm glad you liked the photos but I have to admit I didn't take the one of the bridge.
The Old Pretenders F.C. walked over it on our Bristol tour making it even more famous
