Blooming August
Not the best time for my garden
When I want it to look its best for my old friend Margaret, who is coming to stay next week Why have I suddenly gone blue?
Anyway her visit coincides with the other members of our Quartet's birthdays so there will be jollity.
.
Hibiscus
Moonlight - my favourite potentilla
Through a glass darkly- the balcony window in fact. Top left hand is Margaret's old house and if your eyes are good you can just see the church tower peeking over a roof right centre. MTL is quite proud of his arch over the gate. Not popular with white van men.

Freesia grows wild everywhere round the boundaries
I like this - its been here forever and pops up every year.
These roses were here when we came in '85. The whole bed was roses which have gradually died off .
Ivy- an intruder in the back porch with some Greek memorabilia.
There are just SO red they won't be focussed.

The copy is going all over the place. Better stop before I lose it all

I think Blogger is playing up again.
I hope you enjoy the visit from your friends and that it stops you feeling blue.
Sx
yes, definitely something up with blogger, in more ways than one, dear pat! but from here, i am unable to see any images and your post seems a bit "out of kilter" -
and like ms. scarlet, i do hope your friend's visit cheers your blues away - i've had a bit of the blues of late too - here's wishing yours fly away like those magnificent butterflies below -
Jollity. Haha. I remember the post about the last time you girls went out :-D
Phew. I thought it was my computer...but it seems to be a blogger problem with the photos.
Oh buggeration! Apologies all. They were here this morning.
Damn I can't see the photos. Blogger really is being a pain in the butt recently!
You mean 'bluggeration", don't you?
:-D
I love your garden, what I can see of it... all your photos didn't post for me but what I saw was so beautiful.
As for feeling blue that sometimes happen but I know a few minutes in your garden, maybe some sun will help.
Plus your friend is coming...
cheers, parsnip
Scarlet: I'm not blue - the printing - first line turned blue:)
Gypsywoman: hope tomorrow is a lovely day for you. It was just the print turned blue for some reason.
GG: Last week we had a BT engineer and my computer engineer with little effect and then Friday I just had to switch off and go away - could do nothing. Saturday all was well again.
LL cool Joe: sorry about that. Come back when you can:)
GG: bluggeration it is:)
Parsnip: I'll try to get the rest tomorrow. And as I explained above I wasn't feeling blue but the first line of my copy turned blue. With no help from me:)
The copy was good - the photos make it better!!
Judy: thank you:)
