Couldn't they get the Queen to play herself? Now that be something!

You know, if they got rid of the Queen (and her Mum and her offspring too), would anybody miss them for more than the time it took for the funeral? I always thought it was a shame to "idolize" somebody for doing nothing.

keith: she couldn't fit it into her schedule. Have e-mailed.

Hoss: I realise that we can't be as one about everything and you can say what you like about the Royals except Elizabeth. Now Blair...

It was a cracking film, all the actors captured the essence of the people they portrayed perfectly, and it revealed something about the influence T.Blair had on HMQ which might explain why she looks a lot happier today. She's been allowed to take her corsets orf and breathe. And for that, whatever else we think of the git, you have to thank him on her behalf.

You met Helen Mirren as a young actress -- I knew Helen McCrory, who played Cherie Blair, when she was 15 or 16! I used to work with her dad.

Whatever we think about the monarchy as an institution, I think we all admire Her Maj for her discretion and her devotion to duty, and for never putting a foot wrong. She is my role model, right down to the hot water bottle.

Hip Hip !!
