Every time I see Greece, do you know what I think of? Poor Greece. Such a beautiful land now broken and dysfunctional. Much of the trouble is of their own making. Better days ahead for them, I hope.

Exile: the Greeks are survivors and in spite of atrocities such as tankers emptying their oil tanks in their seas and the Greeks themselves having little regard for conservation I still think it is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I didn't know about their crimes against conservation... but, I would still like to visit one day. Greece always looks beautiful.

I think I need to read up on Greece. It is embarrassing how little I know about other countries and depended on Ron for my lessons.

These photos are gorgeous. I love facebook if for no other reason than that I get to see great photos of places I will never visit.

Beautiful part of Greece too. :)

Scarlet: I always felt it was my spiritual home.

Judy: usual problems - posting failing and just managed to sneak two photos - eventually.

Mage: I wish I could remember which island it was.
Unforgiveable not to write on the back of the photos.
