Indeed, Indeed! Here in the states--TCM plays a lot of her films---it is always so wonderful to see her again. I remember how much I loved her when I was a girl....! I admired her for leaving the spotlight and having a "life" for herself and her family, outside that arena....! RIP, lovely Deana.
Gadjo: I firmly believe it would be herself. With that voice she could walk on water. After worldwide fame she turned her back on it and settled for a secluded life with her third husband in France.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

My mother had a 78 of Deanna Durbin singing Ave Maria. She loved Deanna Durbin's voice. RIP
I don't know much about Deanna Durbin but I do wish that I could whistle:)
What a beautiful fresh face, reminds me of someone. :¬) May she rest in peace.

Roseneath: I still know all the words to most of her songs.
Granny Annie: me too:)
Map: she was my hero when I
was a young girl.
Naomi: me too. I wanted to be Deanna Durbin. My sister played the piano and I sang all her songs - verses and all:)
My dad's favourite.
AndrewM: yes I remember.
I confess I don't know much about her. Is that really her whistling or has it been dubbed in by a cheery postman?
