Those pictures are lovely! I need to start sorting out my photos too. (it's on the to-do list)

You're still clearly recognisable at 5 or 6 years old - I saw that same look on your face when I photographed you last summer ;)

what beautiful photos, pat - and so generous of you to share - there's just something about sitting and rummaging through old family photos, reliving those moments captured in black/white and/or color - several years ago i got nice photo boxes for each of my 5 children and then, spent days/weeks going through all my family photos [back to the 1800s] and divided all of them into photos of each child and his/her children - with separate boxes for the older/antique ones - then, for each box, i organized the photos chronologically by year and sorted again - then i scanned each photo into my hard drive to individual folders for each child and his/her children - then, as each child came by to visit, i handed them their own box of photos/negatives to do with as they wish - an arduous task but one that brought a great deal of satisfaction - when my siblings and i were young, each had our own photo album - which i still have today - anyway - lovely to see your beautiful family in yesteryear!

Are those Clarks shoes? :-)

I enjoy photos so much, I look at everything, the clothes, the expressions. The children are adorable. You look like a famous, beautiful actress in the sport's day photo.

Marjplein: the longer you leave it...

Kim: oh 'eck!

Judy: that's good. Pictures are easier than words just now.

Paarsnip: I can scan documents but so far can't email them properly.

Scarlet: i was told my new computer with Windows 7 wouldn't work with my old scanner hence this new Canon.

Naomi: thanks - you will - for the reason I told Judy.

As I mentioned my mother threw all my old photos away which still makes me sad. Seeing all yours and knowing how precious they now must be for you, makes me even sadder.

Lovely shots. Lovely memories.

Lovely pictures and exciting that you can 'unlock' them!

Geeze...these are great. They make me wish I had photos of my youth. We were so broke growing up we couldn't afford a camera. I think I have one baby pic, and one from when I was about 5 years old. That's it.

Joey: I don't want to make you sad.

John: :)

Gypsy: what a wonderful thing to do. They will bless you for it in years to come.

Rashbre 'unlock' is the right word.

UB: awwww! We weren't exactly rolling in it - but someone must have had a camera.

Map: I have tried:)

SDC: it woud be awful to lose them.

Mage: thank you:)

GG: they are more likely to have come from the slipper factory where Mum worked.
