Lots of time spent on memory lane. Nice of you to share.
These are all such Wonderful pictures Pat....I love the one of your dear MTL 'working'...And the one with your MTL and those adorable Grand Baby's---THAT is such a treasure---Well, truthfully, they are ALL precious treasures...I'm so glad you have them and that you are sharing them all with all of us, my dear....!
Granny Annie : lots of time I don't have right now hence a comparitively easy post. To say nothing of engaging my brain.
Naomi: it's kind of you to say so. Whilst I'm putting them on my computer it seems daft not to share them.
As you know, I love old photos. These are great. He was such a handsome man! I do love the one of you on the water.
These are wonderful; I especially like the one of ytl working, and I agree about the hat: he wouldn't want paint in his hair.
Judy: it makes me shiver to look at it. It was icy.
Eryl : no he wouldn't - but he got it everywhere else:)
These must be some precious memories! I'm sitting here now surrounded by all the photos in the house and some empty photo albums. Your post made me remember I have to scan all pictures first!
Marjolein: good idea. I did it the other way round and it makes a mess of the albums.
Another great set of photos. All those wonderful memories. I hope they make life more bearable at the moment. It's good to be busy!
Just lovely images Pat. Look at that round, happy grandchild draped over your arm, and the happy grandkids being pushed by MTL. Marvelous stuff.
My word, you look a dish at Baggy Point!! xx
Wish my grandad had pushed me about in a wheelbarrow - I think my childhood might have been deprived...
I can see why the hat is vital, look at the clothes :-D
Wheel-barrow rides are the absolute best, what a great grandpa.
Lovely lovely photos, the ones of your husband pushing the kids is my favourite and btw, you look stunning in the Baggy? Point photo, no wonder you were a photographic model (when was that and who for, must read down....)
Joey: they remind me that I have no right to feel sorry for myself.
At the moment there is hardly time to spit.
Mage: they all tower above me now - even little Alice:)
John: dishy sounds nice:)
Kim: awwwwh!
GG: for an academic he wasn't a bad decorator.
ALW: my modelling career was in the fifties. I was under contract to the Pat Larthe Agency and was lucky to get a lot of work in spite of only being 5' 4 and a half inches - on a good day:)
I love all the pictures of your life with MTL and grandchildren. Do you find it healing or helpful to put them up now?
Wonderful photos.
I just love that you are posting these photos. It is letting us enjoy your lovely family. The wheelbarrow photo is priceless.
cheers, parsnip
Parsnip: I am enjoying them also
SDC: I certainly would not do it if it was painful so yes I think it is both healing and helpful.
Many of the photos make me smile; MTL's paint spattered clothes for example. The risk is that people may find it tedious but I tell myself no-one is obliged to look.
I'm glad you are having fun putting these on the blog ... it is lovely to see your faces together!
Rosneath: my son just phoned - he's enjoying them too.
I'm glad it's helping you to put up your photos, I was thinking about you today, wondering how you're doing.
GG: thank you. All is well. My son and grandson arrive tomorrow so lots to look forward to.
They are some lovely pictures.
Rashbre: many thanks:)
