Arthur Smith once said "If you've never been ripped off in Paris, you've never been to Paris."

Keith Richards said, after losing millions to manager Allen Klein: "Price of an education, innit?"

You are as great a philosopher as the two gentlemen above.

Peace at Easter.

Have a good holiday, Pat. Best wishes from NYC.

Chet Baker. One of my favs. A hell of a trumpet player. So much talent but a tragic life.

UB: thank you:)
I don't know his history - must google. His talent is so cool.

Time itself is a gift, a blessing not always realized until it has passed.

Easter? Is it Easter already? Oh yeah the kids break up from school today for 3 weeks. I think I need to escape. :D

I looked at all your scanned pictures – you have some lovely ones. I think that losing pictures can be a terrible loss. When someone burglarized our home years ago and took 2 boxes of slides which included our wedding and the birth of our first daughter – I was so upset.
I hope you will have a good Easter with family and eat some goodies.

Have a wonderful, peaceful Easter, Pat. Enjoy every second.

What's my silver lining? Family. AND writing. If I don't write, I go bonkers. And having my best friend in the whole world in my life. Oh, and gardening. And...oh boy, I should make a list.

"Go easy on the chocolate" - ?

Girl, you've been too long out of Lancashire!

Glad you've got the family with you.

I'm a firm believer that chocolate's good for you, but we'll mix it with plenty of marzipan just to make sure, and lots of cream;)

Actually my man really needs feeding up, so I'll make sure he gets my second helpings.

Happy Easter!
Xxx

GG: you have lots of silver linings.
Quit right too.

Kevin: you may say that but I've put on four pounds:)

Nea: sounds like a good plan:)
Family now gone but the memory remains.
