What an eclectic bunch you've assembled here! Frank Zappa. My goodness. I need to pull his Apostrophe album out of moth balls. Thanks for the nudge.

That needs to be tatooed on the foreheads of every politician who believes his/her intelligence is so much greater than the rest of us.

Cheers.

UB: fascinating man with a crazy face.

Scarlet: was it ALL script writers I wonder?

Randall: and so say all of us!

Jimmy; there's an image to keep me awake at night:)

Parsnip: I like to think my commenters are quite ecletic.

I like them all!

Seems like H. G. Wells had some editor who was trying to...

Tee hee @ Noel Coward's remark. A long flight is good too, haha.

Pat, I thought it was strange why she left her breakfast sausage untouched this very morn.

Excellent selection of quotes!

And Jimmy's too... I'm sure I'd not be put off by seeing you come downstairs naked, but then, I'm not your MIL either... ;-)

Pat said...

GG: I though H.G. Well's was very perspicacious and Coward's wit - especially when he is being waspish - usually makes me chuckle.

Jimmy: poor MIL. I expect it will be a while before she can look you in the eye. Now remember tonight, put your dressing gown on. And do it up!

Jimmy said...

Pat, I've taken extra precautions for tonight hen, I've locked the MIL in the barn, just to be on the safe side. Aye.. I know, I'm all heart.

@Pon - For the love of god doll, raise your mind out of the gutter. Tis soap and water I have for that tongue!

Pat said...

Ponita: glad you like the quotes.

Jimmy; I'm sure Ponita simply meant that as a nurse she had seen it all before. But I shouldn't put words in her mouth. My patient's ages were from birth to age fourteen so we were protected from anything untoward.

Some good ones Pat! Many Many, in fact.

Whenever I see Frank Zappa's name I think of a plane ride I took many many years ago on the MGM Grand Airline. Frank Zappa and his wife were sitting across from me and it was the very first flight where NO SMOKING ANYWHEREON ON THE PLANE, was instituted. New York to L.A.---Zappa had a very very hard time not being able to smoke. I remember his wife tried to sooth him as best she could, but by the 5th hour, he was a wreck!

Ahhh Pat, protective as well as beautiful, what a rare find you truly are.

Naomi: what a great experience I would have been riveted as I find him and his facial expressions fascinating.

Great quotes. I love "You can’t have everything. Where would you put it?" Steven Wright

Ron and I both are pack rats and try to have it all. Believe me, we are running out of places to put things.

Grannie Annie: I feel for the poor devils who have to sort it all when we've gone:)

That Marilyn Manson quote really is spot on

Noel Coward was wicked :-D
This afternoon I watched a film about Gertrude Lawrence, and when she got married he sent her a telegram saying, AT LAST YOU ARE DEFLOWERED ON THIS AS EVERY OTHER DAY I LOVE YOU.

Kim: I'm sure sometimes it incites the violence.

GG: I read of things they got up to travelling round Italy. They were a mischievous trio - Noely, Colely and Gertie. Sometimes their humour was infantile bur infectious.
