I'm ignorant, Pat...is this a recent book? Is it good? Was it one recommended to you when you just got married?

Ah Marie Stopes - to whom every woman of our generation and before should be grateful. I actually lived in a house where she'd lived once. I certainly used her clinics. I gather sbe was appalling. But so what.

GG: my next post will show the relevance - mainly birth control. 'Married Love' was about sexuality and human sexual response. It was published in 1918 and banned in the States until 1931. She was a passionate feminist and favoured sexual equality. God bless Marie Stopes!

Granny p: I might have known you would know her. it is supposed to be illustrating my next post which isn't quite finished. I was afraid of losing the photo - which frquently happens - so published it early.
