GG: just to check I asked MTL if we really did it and the answer was 'Yes!' It is frowned upon now in some countries because it can damage the environment - in other words the mountain slips down - so i won't do it again . Promise!
That's incredible, I'm not sure I'm that brave! In high school everyone was big on cliff diving, though I never got the chance... not that I would've taken it :o)
Flippin' heck, Pat. You RAN down THAT? You're a better woman than I. It looks treacherous and as if the words "run" and "down" have no business anywhere near it, but as if the words "broken" and "neck" might be ones it had heard before.
Sam: honestly the photo makes it look worse than it is and you are digging your heels into the mountain and running from side to side so you don't hurtle forward - in theory.
Grand mother but still a girl at heart. Married to MTL(my true love)after a separation of 30 years. Had three careers: trained paediatric nurse, National photographic model and business woman. Now settled in SW and enjoying our five children and ten grandchildren and making the most of what time we have left.
In January 2013 I lost MTL.

That's some lump of rock missus.
You must have been vert brave. My thing was climbing very high trees, and biking down hills "no hands".

Kath ; you know some people inspire bravery and both Ginny and i felt safe with the two boys looking after us.
apprentic; welcome! You know more about courage than I do. This was really foolhardiness

The thing that cracks me up now that you say it, Pat is that it's been deemed dangerous to the environment...but not to people :-D
GG: now you've made me laugh too. It is ridiculous isn't it?
