They said there would be a special moon tonight and just one star - Jupiter I think. Do click on it
and tell me if you see it.

Strangely enough, I noticed the moon tonight looking extra-large and an adjacent spot in the sky. Didn't realise it was a special one though!
Rashbre: I half heard it on the radio- half asleep. Would it be Jupiter?
Beautiful !
I see a dot but I am not sure if it a star.
cheers, parsnip
It's the same here. The moon is full and there's only one "star" just to the left of it. We think it's Venus.
Parsnip and Nea.
"Tonight – February 3, 2015 – no matter where you are on Earth, look eastward as soon as darkness falls. The full moon and the dazzling planet Jupiter will couple up together just above the eastern horizon at nightfall. Think photo opportunity!
In North America, we call the February full moon the Wolf Moon, Snow Moon or Hunger Moon. Watch as this February full moon climbs upward with Jupiter throughout the evening hours. The brilliant twosome will reach its high point for the night around midnight, and will descend westward in the wee hours after midnight.
If you’re up early tomorrow, on February 4, look for the moon and Jupiter over the western horizon in the predawn/dawn sky. If you get a good photo, post it at EarthSky Facebook or submit your photo here.

I remembered correctly.Yay!
Thanks for the heads (eyes)-up! The sky here was cloudless and we had a clear view.
Jenny: well done! It's a cheering sight in a gloomy February.
Pat, it was a beautiful sight, it was stunning and radiant, and to top it all, there was the sea-wind.
GG: I e-mailed Dylan to tell him to look at the moon and he said:
'Don't you know that I live in a valley & only occasionally get a glimpse of both the sun & the moon ? You sea-siders living in the wide open spaces just don't realise how deprived we are !!!'
So we both are very lucky aren't we?
Hello Pat. Read your suggestion at about 8p.m., rushed outside and got a beautiful view of the moon and a planet to the left of the moon. Watched for a few minutes then things clouded over; Jupiter (?) vanished in the clouds and the moon came and went among the clouds. Thanks for the suggestion - it was well worth getting friz for the original view of the moon and the planet.
What a BEAUTIFUL Picture, Pat.....
I missed it all, but, thanks to you, I got to see a truly special sight!
Sometimes I am unable to see the Moon, due to my location.....
Mike and Ann: so glad you caught it. Hope you didn't get a chill.
Naomi: One of these nights I'm going to drag a rug out in the drive and just lie and look skywards without twisting my neck.
Can't see it on your photo, but we did see it out on the moors, (we have been away for a few days in the Torbay area)
It looked stunning both in the sky and the moon light lighting the snow.
Hope the Reiki helped.

Helen: if you click on it you see a fuzzy moon and lower left Jupiter but never mind if you actually saw it in the flesh.
It is difficult to understand the full effects of both Reflexology and Reiki but the general effect was positive.
During Reiki she told me to imagine my favourite colour and I finally chose the bright turquoise of the Queensland sea and I got a picture of Alastair in a very smart white sun hat which he wore there. There was an intermittent golden light which I tried to hang on to. Another time I would have the treatments on different days.
Good photo, I didn't realise there was a special moon last week.
Oh I just realised it was on my birthday too, a special moon on my special day. :D
Joey: you must be blessed. I wonder if it happens every year?
Joey: I think it was a flower. Why? Because Angus told me to:)
Blimey, where have I been?!
I remember this.
Sx
Yes! I saw Juipiter! Thanks to you!
Scarlet and Nea: I'm so glad you saw it too.
Joey: it was one of those fortunate moments when you hear something interesting on the radio.
