Trying Naomi's solution

This time I managed to get three photos together but there was nothing on the page that allowed me to write, publish or  do anything.  I went to posts and the above was a draft but is an oversized version of part of one of the photographs.
Incidentally - if anyone is still awake - the fountain has just been steam blasted, a hole made to let out water prior to a scrubbing of the inside.  Then I shall put my stones inside and let nature take its course.
My good friend Naomi is helping me to sort this problem and we are making progress.  Maybe Sam my grandson will make a better stab  at it when he comes this week-end.

At least you were able to put up a photo. The fountain is lovely.

Oh how I wish we could talk on the phone-----it would make things so much easier....I'm glad you feel some progress is being made.....there is so much I don't understand about the way you write and post---and if Blogger is some kind of peculiar version on your computer.....It was very interesting when I clicked on the "X Large" of your Beautiful Fountain the whole picture came into view....!

Naomi: since I got Windows 7 things have been much more complicated and difficult and it didn't help that I lost my computer man at the same time. You have given me hope that it will be sorted and I am very grateful but as for understanding what is happening - I am as much in the dark as you.

Thank you John G. I clicked on the photo, and all became clear. Except perhaps why all the lions are smoking cigars???

Mike and Ann: we don't take kindly to them smoking indoors.

Hooray! This is looking good and when you click on the photo you can see it all. Yipee!

Granny Annie: if only I felt in control:)

This is a great start. I ignore the editor, and I start by writing my entries in word. Using elementary html coding, I insert a line, center a picture. and write what ever I am going to write. This old style coding has been superseded, but it still works. I just looked up html online.

Maybe it's to do with Blogger templates - probably not, but the new templates were supposed to make everything easier.
I can't wait to get out in the garden!
Sx

Mage: God you make it sound so easy. You forget you are dealing with a nitwit who came to it all late in life:)

Scarlet: I suspect I need to delve more in blogger matters. I tend to dodge them.
Yes out in the garden without the obligatory deluge would be nice.
I refused 2 lefts today and as soon a I left the house the heavens opened.

I can see the photo and your text underneath it normally, so I'm not sure what you mean.

I've found that I can't add a post on my blog using an ipad. Well I can but the sidebar drops to the bottom of the page rather than staying at the side. It's a bit frustrating, but I only use the ipad in emergencies or on holiday, so it's not been too much of an issue so far.

Joey: if you click on the photo- that is how it should appear.
