Scarlet: Blogger and Picasa have disappointed me greatly the more so after such a promising start.

Naomi: the words - which I seem to know - have been running around in my head just lately.
And her voice takes me back decades to innocent girlhood.

Pat---I knew Marni for decades! I first met her in 1949 before her GREAT Film Voicing career began. And she sang 'The Bell Song' in my mother's living room at 7 in the morning---LONG story, I'll tell you sometime....
Later...she came into Theatre West, in the late 1960's---early 1970's., and did some WONDERFUL work there.....Her very talented composer husband, Ernest Gold, (They later divorced) helped me with a lovely German song that Marlene used to sing...
Marni is a LOVELY person, and so very very talented.....There is this "heartbreak" sound in her voice.....
I can understand why this recording has been running around in your head and heart these days, my dear.

Naomi: that is so interesting. How marvellous to have had her singing your house. You understand perfectly the effect her singing has on me. Tears - but happy tears.

I love songs like this on wet, grey Sunday afternoons.

I do hope you're fine, Pat.
