MTL's SOH.

For at least a week I have been pondering what to do about the two roomed shed which is in a parlous state - you would not believe it.
Then I stumbled on this cartoon in his office.  Sometimes it's as if we are having a conversation.

I have the same conversations with record albums.

Leave the shed be hen, it took your man years to get it as he wanted it. Some things are best left alone, eh?

It's funny because it's true, as Homer Simpson would put it...

I love that he is speaking to you in unexpected ways, my dear Pat....That is a funny cartoon....lol! And I can relate.

Brilliant! :-)

That's kinda cute. Is there any rush to clear it out? Hope you are doing okay Pat. Thinking of you.

Pearl: :-)

Chef: you're probably right but if I don't do it the kids will have to when I'm gone. I mean when did he ever sole a shoe?

Z: the closer I get to it the less funny it seems.

Naomi: yes some messages do get through and give me a smile.

John: you would say that:)

Joey: no rush assuming I'll be around for a wee while. But who ever knows?

What a lovely message to give you a smile.
I think of you everyday.

cheers, parsnip

Ahh yes, a man and his shed. Only you know whether it would be better to get the clearing out over and done or to leave it for a while.

I think you should listen to him Pat.

Pat said...

Parsnip: me too.

Gadjo: I think slow but sure is probably the answer and to take advantage of the boy's visits for advice and help.

LOM: it would be difficult to break the habit of - almost- a lifetime.

Ahem, is he trying to tell you something then? Hahaha, cute cartoon.

My father built a shed, and well...enough said.

We're still giving away stuff from it.

You are such a champion. Already you have tackled more than I can imagine doing. I would still be sitting like a lump. Glad he gave you a smile.

It's ironic they should be called sheds ... "shedding" stuff is what they positively discourage!

Stand back and talk with him as you take things out.

Great cartoon :)

The boys could do it a bit at a time, when they visit, in case there are things they'd like to keep.

GG: my younger son come this weekend and I think we can at least get rid of the old TV ariels and the awful gumboots.

Granny Annie: I hope you don't have to but am sure you would rise to the occasion.

Rog: how very true.

Mage: I tell him every night when I get the answers right in Eggheads - a quiz programme on TV we both liked.

Pat said...

Kim: that's probably what will happen.

Well, you could ask Zoe (http://learningenglishagain.blogspot.co.uk/) for advice on maintaining a shed. She must be an expert by now!

Would anyone living near to Pat please pop in and check that she hasn't locked herself in the shed?

Pat said...

Keith: I thought Zoe was anti sheds.

Chef: sweetly thoughtful. Actually I did pop in today and removed old gum boots, a TV ariel, 6 pairs of used gardening gloves and 6 pairs of unused gardening gloves, and barely scratched the surface. I yearn for the day when I can actually see a surface.

It is as if you are having a conversation. I dare not venture into the garage, the costume box is the least scary thing down there

Rosaria: welcome:)

Love it. Perhaps you need help shoring it up while you pull stuff out.

I think Zoe has a shed of her own now in Crewe.
