What was that light thing he used...It seemed to paralyze Joe for a moment there....lol! Sweetie gets his pills three (3), times a week and I have to say, the way "Wendy gives them to him---it is a lot easier than your guy....Of course, I cannot do it all!!! (lol)

Oh, and I meant to say...Jow is darling! Very pretty markings, Pat....How old is he?

Now, that's just nasty. But he is a rather placid soul. I've had cats that would have tore the good doctor's eyes out.

UB: the 'good doctor' is my cat loving son.

Naomi; Joe is about 14. I'm enquiring about the red thing.
Joe is one of four cats and has a sweet nature.

I had to see this to believe it. Never dreamed a cat could be that good.

I'm quite sure the red thing is the light on the remote for the camera and he used it to move the lens for a close up.

Ohhh, Joe is adorable. I like his passive-resistant style.

I must send this to my sis, the cat-mad gal.

What a good cat Joe is. I once had two sick rescue puppies to whom I had to give pills several times a day, they could have used a lesson from Joe!

What a Good Doctor your son is...
Adore Joe what a great cat. Love the paw pat at the end. :)
He reminds me of my cat Jellico, he truly had a sweet soul and looked very similar to Joe.

Hamish is diabetic and I have to make sure he eats every morning and evening before I give him his insulin shot that now he hates, even with the bribe of a chicken strip.
Watson doesn't like the change of eating schedule so now I have two miffed Scotties !
You don't know what hoot life can be till you live with two miffed Scotties !

cheers, parsnip

Naomi: it is a laser that controls the camera - not the cat - so he can zoom in.

Granny Annie: you are absolutely right about the camera- clever girl:)
Joe is much more docile than his three brothers.

GG: he has it twice a day and only played up slightly for the camera.

Eryl: I couldn't do it. I would worry far more about looking after an animal than a child. Angus has always been so loving with them.

Parsnip: Hamish and Watson are real cards- I love hearing about them. Angus has taught me how to appreciate animals - especially cats. I didn't realise they have such different characters and enjoy learning about them.

Having worked as a vet's assistant years ago, and also having had cats and dogs my entire life (well, since age seven anyway), I've become quite adept at "pilling" an animal. Most of the time they don't even know what hit them!

How nice that your son will give Joe his pills. The cat seems rather resigned to it and just falls over in an effort (however lame) to avoid the ordeal. ;-)

Ponita: I'm just a distant grandma to the cats. They belong to Angus and his wife but I have grown to like them in spite of myself.

He certainly was more willing than my cats were!

I enjoyed reading your past posts. I enlarged the photos of the sea and the cliffs and could smell the fresh air – I’d love to be close to it. Here it has been in the 90s and very humid (32 C.) We were going to drive to Savannah but my youngest daughter is having a baby in less than a month, so we’ll drive to Nashville to be near her and our two other grandsons.
We have two cats. I had to give pills the Mitsou, our Korat. She is very smart. She takes the pill, closes her mouth, then 10 minutes later I see the pill on the floor. I don’t know how she does it.

Judy: you must miss them.

Vagabonde: how lovely to have another grandchild to look forward too. Nothing nicer.
It must be difficult trying to be one step ahead of one's cat. I've never had one of my own.

Angus is doing such a great job in giving Joe his medicine. The love and absolute care for Joe is so evident - and I admit that my Zebby Cat is another that gets kisses from His human delivered to his head.

With cats it always pays to remember:"In a Cat's eyes all things belong to Cat."

Plus: "dogs need a Master, Cats need staff"

Yet those of us lucky enough to be a Cat's human adore our felines. Sending sincere wellness thoughts to Joe, and cat handling luck to Angus!!!

Mickle: it's nice to hear you approve of Angus' handling of Joe. You know much more about it than I do.
Joe apparently is very well
and Ang says he has adopted a revolutionary new plan of putting food down him late evening and his weight has increased slightly.
I might try it with MTL:)

Wow I used to have to pin my cats to the ground with a towel wrapped around them and then they still spat the damn tablet out again!

LL Cool Joe: that's cats for you:)
