Two Blogging reasons to be cheerful

It's colder and rainier and it looks like we may have an election all over again in October. Oh joy! But Sweetie the beloved cat of Naom in of the Hills http://sitteninthehills64.blogspot.com/ (side board) cheers up my office and reminds me of a dear friend across the pond.

This is a Birthday card from Parsnip http://twosquaredogs.blogspot.com/ (side bar). She made it herself - as she does all her cards and it depicts one of the wild flowers that bloom all over Tucson

I haven't seen the news today after being glued to it all day yesterday, better have a look.

Your Photo looks so much better than the one I took of it ! So glad you liked it !

Sorry about the Election news, I have always liked your form of Government much better than ours... Our main Presidential Election is every four years but lately they start that re-election campaign right away...
House of Representatives are every two years, Senators every six years staggered, so it all election all the time and no one gets any work done because they are too busy trying to get reelected...arrgggh !

It's amazing that blogging has opened up a new medium, not just for writing and preserving our thoughts, but to meet interesting people all over the place.

Cheers.

Parsnip: I use Picasa because it is easy and I love the three dimensional look the card has.
Yes I think our form of government is more suited for our little country. Blair tried to make it more Presidential but it didn't go down very well.

Randall: that's the best thing about it I think:)

How lovely to see my dear "Sweetie" grace your Blog Page....He is a very Handsome fellow and as dear as his name...Thanks, my dear!

Abd what a sweet Mother's Day card that is...! A VERY HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO YOU, Dear Pat....I hope your day is filled with all good things.

By the way: I was not able to get together with Daphne, but I did have a lovely long phone visit with her...She is in San Francisco now and will go on to New Mexico. I felt badly that an "in person" visit could not happen, but....that is life, isn't it? I haven't beem feeling all that welll...but the phone was certainly the next best thing.

When I saw the photo, I knew it had to be Sweetie - those fabulous blue eyes of his!!

Naomi: Sweetie is a star.
The card from Parsnip is a late birthday card- our Mother's Day is in March.
It's good that you could have a chat with Daphne - I'm sure we'll hear all about it when she returns.
Look after yourself and don't exhaust yourself doing the tile photos. There's no rush.

Judy: yes Sweetie is an extraordinary pussy cat.

What a beautiful puddy cat, one of those very ornamental ones!

Gadjo: what is he thinking I wonder?

I love Parsnip's flower. Frame it and hang it.

Pat said...

Jack: I'm behind with my framing; Parsnip also sent me a lovely water colour she had done of a photo I took on Exmoor and I'm running out of wall space. I'll have to jettison some of the older faded ones.
