The sword of Damocles

Even now we may be about to be governed by 'A Coalition of the Defeated' without our say so! Enough of politics the garden beckons.
At last the clematis Armandii is out. How I wish you could smell it

The magnificent Ilex fully out after last year's shearing

I never tire of this view and the array of different trees. The distant hills are the Quantocks

Your clematis is stupendous. My neighbour has the same sort, I think, I'll go out and have a sniff when it begins to bloom.

Maggie: sounds like you may have hay fever. Bad luck.

Queenie: I'm glad it survive being decimated by our handy man. It used to surround the balcony- now it's on the telephone wire.

Parsnip: we didn't cut it back but when he was painting the outside our handy man tore it away from the balcony.

Eryl: it got some much needed sun today which took the stopper of the perfume bottle.
