THE LAST OF THE MARBLES!

Here you have my dream in a nutshell; the simplicity, the Byronesque sea, the boat, the distant mountain - it's just so GREEK! How often have I sat on that spindley chair sippimg village wine and gazing at my spiritual home.

Oh I can see how this painting would transport you to your "spiritual home"....Do you suppose you were Greek in another life, Pat? (lol) When you first went there, did you feel at home right away?
I love all the wonderful goodies you brought home with you...And obviously, you do yoo!

Naomi: the first time I went was in the early seventies with my first husband and I discovered it was the only place - besides being on a boat - where we could live peacefully together. So yes we both felt at home and he was possibly more of a grecophile than I am.

That vivid blue is brought out so well. Michele sent me so that I can keep looking at that painting..

Hi gautami: I loved the vivid colours I saw in India - a field of chillies and the ladies in beautiful saris.

Efkaristo! Michele sent me today, to see your beautiful picture of Greece!

I havn't visited for quite a time, but love wandering around the Islands, eating simple salads and sipping the wine.

You are making me think I should figure out how to get over to this paradise again.

Wonderful.

So glad you came bak...And CONGRATS for yoyr Grandson! That Is Wonderful!

I cannot get over the HUGE Amounts of rain you have been having over there across the pond....It is amazing! Everything must look so lush and green...if you can see it through all this rain...! (lol)

I know that summer I was there....we were so lucky...It was beautiful and warm and sunny, and did not rain once in the almost two weeks I was there....!

Naomi:I enjoyed the lovely post for Michele. Thank you on behalf of Tom. the funny thin is everyone has been encouraged to grow succulents to cope with the aridity we were meant to have and now they are drowning -as we are. The summer you were here could have been 1976 - that was a memorable one.
