A wonderful photograph; what's not clear about it is: what does it mean to you? I'd love to know.

Nick: sorry I have to concentrate so hard moving photos around I lose track.
The man with the moustache on the left of the front row is my father's father and although I have written about my mother's parents in previous posts I haven't said much about him. As a child I found him a bit distant - possibly because his wife died when I was very young so i barely remember her

RAOB'S? What that? Don't they all look spruced up! And serious too.

GG: They are a group of men who do a lot of work for charity. It's something like Royal Association of Buffalos. As always in the north it was also transmuted rudely, to Ragged-Arsed Old B,,,,,s.
Well you did ask.
