Madeira - sun at last
Later the same day - coming back down the mountain with an ace driver.
Our lovely waiter James from Bombay.
Two chums.
And another - lots of fun.
Bay of Biscay through my cabin window
I was on the sixth deck
BANG, CRASH, WALLOP!

Your friends look flat out lovely. Those waves look ugly. So glad to see you with pictures tho.
Awesome pics of Madeira. I even like the one with the fog. Thanks for doing that. The waves however, don't look quite so inviting. They do have their own beauty though.
Looks like you had a lot of weather...
What lovely photos.
Even with all the awful food, the dining area looks like so much fun with lovely friends.
But that stormy sea looks so bad.
cheers, parsnip
Nice pics!! rough seas, I see.
Great pictures, my dear Pat. The SEAS look quite scary....! Looks like your table of people were fun! I always love to see where you have been and the people you were with, on these wonderful trips----even when the trip has not been as lovely as you have hoped for.....!
Mage: the friends - as usual made the holiday -in spite of the privations.
SDC: it is quite precipitous as I expect you know. Waves can be horribly fascinating. So grateful I have only once been seasick in the Alderney Race - but I was 4 months pregnant and it was very brief.
Kim: we had no snow.
Parsnip: I'm glad the fun showed:)
Judy: and then there was the Bay of Biscay:)
Naomi: all in all I wouldn't have missed it. I can honestly say it was never boring:)
I hope this trip was trouble-fre...oops...the title of the post below has caught my eye...
I will read all the posts when I go home to Guyana. With no family to keep me company, your posts will help me not feel sad.
I have only been on one cruise and am happy our weather was calm. Don't know if I could have stood those winds and waves. Love your photies.
Love the photos of the sea, I love a stormy sea
Those seas look great fun, I like a bit of rough.
SX
Scarlet: incorrigible:)
Neena, Annie, Scarlet and Helen: just been reading cruise.critic.com and realise I didn't exaggerate but still had fun.
Is THIS the link?
Sounds awful.
Sx
Scarlet: I read cruise.critic.com and realise I didn't exaggerate but because of the people I met and my circumstances I wouldn't have missed the experience.
Lovely pictures of Madiera and the table on the ship loots very festive!
You certainly seemed to get some proper sea as well!
Rashbre: yes I think you could definitely call it a proper sea:)
