Granny Annie: treating myself to breakfst in bed and half watching the Andrew Marr show I could see him through the open French windows - preening himself and being far more watchable than Andrew I'm afraid.
Lovely ! Lovely photo. And I am swooning not over the fact your sitting in bed, having breakfast but most of all looking outside through open French windows. I treat I am not allowed as open doors and windows where I live means all sorts of critters one does not want can come in. Scorpions are #1.
Parsnip: I do enjoy hearing more about where you live. I never open windows or doors with the light on. Then the critters would take over. But no scorpions to my knowledge.
Song thrushes, yes please. Fieldfare, no thank you! There' s a very good reason for their Latin name of "turdus" and our dog discovered why last Friday when one hit her three times: ear, head and back. It looked very deliberate on the fieldfare's part. Poor doggy had to put up with shampoo on top of it all and a shower when we got her home.
Absolutely love this photograph. How did you even realize you had a breakfast companion? Great camouflage.
