  1. First! There aren't many pressies under the tree! Is the big one mine?

  2. John: we oldies aren't meant to get pressies. Yours hasn't arrived yet - you shouldn't have:)

  3. It looks lovely, Pat! And very pretty... I'm sorry you had so much hassle with Blogger. I can't figure out why Blogger won't upload your files.

  4. Scarlet: do you think it's blogger rather than Picasa? Maybe I'm blaming the wrong one.

hey, you've always had problems uploading more than one photo at a time, haven't you? I think it might be your bandwidth/speed rather than Blogger or Picasa, but who knows!

I think the hamper (which MUST surely be from Fortnums) is mine!

Happy Scrabbling Xmas PI and congrats on your win!

  6. Oh, I don't know anything about Picasa. Have you got the latest version?
I generally click on browse and upload my pictures that way. If your pictures are on your computer you can copy them into a different format, such as jpeg.
And are you still using an old Blogger template? The new templates were supposed to make it easier to share pictures.
I will think about this today, I'm sure if a few of us put our heads together then we could help you.

  7. Rosneath: no at one time I could merrily upload photos at will then it all went pear-shaped.
Mike of Mike and Ann has the same problem.
Sorry we are hanging on to the Fortnum Hamper and thank you - I never thought I would ever beat you. A one off no doubt:)

Scarlet: it's when I click on browse I hit problems as the photos are on Picasa and they don't recognise it. I can see them elsewhere on my computer but can't get the right label.
My grand-daughter - a wizard - is coming in Feb and if it's fixable she'll do it. Thanks for trying to help but it's very difficult when I don't understand the language.

  8. I will leave it to your Grand-daughter then!
Sometimes it takes me ages to find my pics because I don't label them correctly - but I'm getting a lot better at it.

There you have it in a nutshell. The whole family despair at my filing. I'm not good at decisions and when I finally decide on a label I promptly forget it. How I ever made the decision to run away still baffles me.

  10. I've heard of "Chicken in a basket" and even "Soup in a basket"(!) but that's the first time I've seen a "Tree in a basket"

From the photo it looks like the tree is in the basket. It's not though, is it?

  11. Keith: quite right Keith. The basket is a Fortnum and Mason hamper - present from our Australian family.
There are lot more presents there now, although as I told John oldies don't expect presents.
