Two views of Exford
Desserts to die for. J had Orange scented Creme Caramel served with Mango Sorbet and Home made Shortbread biscuit. Just managed to catch it before it was demolished.
Mine was Apple and Vanilla Tarte Tatin with Rhubarb Ice Cream and Chocolate Curls. It was delicious but I had difficulty getting the last of the chocolate off the plate. MTL watched in wonderment.
Oh my, those puddings look delicious, and I love those little coloured houses, there's something so cheery about painted houses.

Loved the painted shops/homes.
When in doubt, lick the plate.
ReplyDeleteLove the chocolate curl. If you don't mind cheating a bit, you can increase the brightness and contrast with Photoshop and improve the weather retrospectively.

YUmk Yumj Yummmmm! It all looks great and sounds so very deeee-licious, my dear....And what a charming place. I swear, I don't think there is a patch of England that isn't wonderfully charmingly beautiful and incredibly special.

Looking at those pics, you certainly live in a lovely part of England; sorry, I mean the United Kingdom. (must be seen to be politically correct, musn't one?).

Daphne: I use Picasa so usually click 'I'm feeling lucky' and sometimes crop. The main effort is framing it when I take it. I must get my granddaughter to show me Photo shop but she's almost 18 and I see less of her. 'Boo Hoo!
Mapstew: be careful what you wish for - tummy flattening exercises has done my right shoulder.
Naomi: there are - I'm afraid - some ghastly places in England - I'm sure they are still there but I never see them nowadays - by choice.
I wish you could nip over too and vice versa;)

Goodness, can you imagine if it were the UK v.s. ....? The next thing you know, the commentators will be saying "Uk" for short. yoikes.
So my mama can continue saying she looooves England.

LOM: I remember fondly a hotel near a vineyard in Australia and I had three desserts on one plate. Scrumptious!
