Although we're in the 60's today and I'm wearing shorts, there are still no "buds of Spring" visible. I do need some color to start appearing or I'll go bonkers.
I should visit more often than weekly, Pat. Enjoyed your words these last few days. I hope spring is truly on its way, and these early blooms don't regret their impetuousness.
Love your choice of words, shameless hussies ! I have so enjoyed my winter as I know the hot summer is waiting but... when you see the spring flowers...le sigh
I don't seem able to e-mail you any more. Either your address has changed or what I have is corrupted. Could you send me even a blank one so I can get your correct address?
I am so jealous of your joyful colors! We don't even have cherry blossoms yet and so we won't have cherries by the time the grandchildren are here for spring break which means no cherry cobblers and pie to reward the cherry pickers.
"Shameless hussies?" I have a few of those - same color!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the Camellia. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJudy: they are actually crocii/ crocuses? of course. I call them that because they have opened up so blatantly:)
ReplyDeleteBaglady; thank you:)
You are weeks ahead of us! The camelia buds haven't swollen yet, the daffs are just poking through and it was -7C last night!
ReplyDeleteThat shameless hussy and all the other flowers have a right to flaunt, look at them, so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDo camellias have a scent?
How does your garden manage that? We're still on snowdrops here!
ReplyDeletecan't believe you'll soon be 80. Hope you're in for a super dooper birthday.

ReplyDeleteCheers.
Our neighbour's garden is telling us that Spring is just ahead. I can hardly wait.

Lovely flowers and pictures.
Hi Pat,
ReplyDeleteI don't seem able to e-mail you any more. Either your address has changed or what I have is corrupted. Could you send me even a blank one so I can get your correct address?
Thanks,
Jack
Very nice. This week we have a sudden attack of iris flowers, which are not unwelcome.

ReplyDeleteJohn.G: that's why we chose the SW:)
ReplyDeleteGG: as far as I can discover no - but I have a sneaking feeling that Margaret once told me there was one. Then they would be perfection
Sandy:I'm hopeless with snowdrops - even in the green.
Randall: incredible to have those temperatures and no colour. Get some tartan shorts:)
Madame D: now the freeze is back with us:(
Blazing: come as often as you like - always welcome:)
ReplyDeleteParsnip: I'm sure your dramatic skies help.
Jack: your e-mails got through and I have just replied and done my correction;)
Kevin: the sort of attack I crave:)
Granny Annie: cherry blossom is a delight isn't it?
Wonderful! It should reach us in about 3 weeks then :)
ReplyDeleteKim: that's about right:)
ReplyDeleteThe nearest thing we've got to a hussy here is a rather timid snowdrop. Still awaiting thr irises and crocuses.... and for the snow to depart.
ReplyDeleteGadjo: it's been a long hard winter and difficult to recall shirt sleeves and sandals.
ReplyDeleteNo flowers yet... but plenty of gambolling spring lambs.
ReplyDeleteSx
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, glorious sunshine today, but as soon as I leave the house, I start to shiver.
How I wish our garden was south facing...
Scarlet: I love it when they bounce on four legs.
ReplyDeleteSim; Just been over to make sure you are back. Good to see you:)
More of your beautiful photos, as usual. It's the time of year when I wish we had smell-o-vision.
ReplyDeleteA Camelia already? What a beaut as well!!!!
ReplyDeleteCharlie: but then I would have to eschew garlic;)
ReplyDeleteFour.D: the only one so far.
Gee...I commented on this post, my dear, and it isn't here...!
ReplyDeleteDang It! Did I say something to offend? I hope not...lol!
Naomi: I would never delete one of your comments or any of my friends. It must be floating in the ether
ReplyDeleteNaomi: just occasionally they go to Dashboard instead of the post but I check at least once a day.
