The noise is deafening. Now he's laid claim to the little house he does a perfect imitation of a woodpecker eating the fatsnax meant for the long-tailed tits.
Oh, he is so cute! A dear little face...! I cannot get over that he is out abd about even though you've had such snow and cold---Does this mean Spring is close by?
Mapstew: wait til you see our new feeding station. It's out of the box now but looks a little more complicated then I envisaged and I'll be writing all day.
Parsnip: I'm amazed these are not bad. Apart from my limited ability usually when you shoot against a window it is over exposed. Nothing wrong with your photography.
Naomi: Spring - if temperature is anything to go by - is some way off yet. He's got his fat to keep him warm:)
And why shouldn't he???
ReplyDeleteIf he eats too much, he won't be able to get back out again...
ReplyDeleteI was going to say what Kim said!
ReplyDeleteHe looks fatter than before. LOL!
ReplyDeleteFor the love of all things birdy, do not give him anymore of your Yorky puddings my dear... It would be a real shame to see him waddling hame.
ReplyDeleteAbsent a "Tits Only" sign, it's hard to blame the bird for dropping in for a snack.
ReplyDeleteCheers.
They are very territorial!
ReplyDeleteFour.D:it was meant for the tits.
ReplyDeleteKim and Eryl: and what will poor robin do then poor thing - he'll hide his head under his wing.
Cloud Cutter: I'm worried about clinical obesity. Do birds get it?
Jimmy: and they would have me give him mealworms for goodness sake!
Randall : you are tits obsessed:)
John. G: spot on!
That's some birdhouse! :¬)
ReplyDeleteLove the third picture where he is looking right at you !
ReplyDeleteI don't have a great camera for bird photos but I keep trying..

ReplyDeleteIf he was clever he'd be imitating the long-tailed tits who should be eating the fatsnax, but I find his error of judgement rather endearing.
