I got scratched by some bamboo on a walk the other month, and it flared up something wild. My dad said there are a lot of enzymes in bamboo that irritate the skin if you get cut with it.
We have one of those fake mobile phone masts trees a couple of miles from here. I think its a little broader than the one in your photo and up close looks nothing like a real tree. It surprising, from a distance, how much it blends in though, if you aren't looking out for it.

ReplyDeleteSam: thanks. I'll watch out for that.
ReplyDeleteThat "faux" tree. Weird. I shouldn't think it 'wood' fool anyone!
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy! Nice one. Actually it was more convincing in the flesh - as it were.

ReplyDeleteBest. rashbre
Rashbre: I would never have noticed it. My son pointed it out.
ReplyDeleteFaux tree or not, it's beautiful out there, Pat. I love listening to trees. [Was it really faux or were you all joking?]
ReplyDeleteGG: it really was a pretend tree. If you look at the branches some go up and some go down - but I wouldn't have noticed it without my eagle- eyed son.
