The Last of the Fremington photos

Must be a house boat.

The riddle of the sands?

The Williams Arms - further towards Croyde and another good eating place.

  1. I must admit I've always been intrigued by the idea of a houseboat, although I've often wondered if the continual rocking and sound of water lapping would have be getting up to the toilet all night long

Cellars are never very good in houseboats, I've heard.

Great pics. I loved that fireplace.

    Cheers.

Every time I see your pictures it is another place I want to visit ! at this rate I will have to spend a year being a tourist. . . I would like that but "The Boys" wouldn't.

  6. Kim: no no the water lapping and the rocking just lulls you off to sleep.
Thought of you and your father today - in Dulverton.

    Randall: wouldn't cellars be 'below'.
The fireplace and fire were great.

Scarlet: I've got everything crossed. I couldn't bear it if another friend had it all go back to square one. Let me know when all clear and where please.

Eryl: the nearest I've been is a yacht and they move a lot:)

Parsnip: I'm sure the boys would hate it. Glad you like the pics.

  7. I like the beware of the guard dog notice. Would he make an intruder walk the plank?

You have a knack for finding wonderful and historic inns. Were you ever to be my tour guide, it would be an inn, some scenery, an inn, some scenery, an inn . . .
