I'm not the best for remembering place names!
Spent much of my time these past 3 weeks in and around Dorset, but ventured to Devon to meet my "new" grandmother :o)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20735769.post-1158130896709843212006-09-13T08:01:00.000+01:002006-09-13T08:01:00.000+01:00Judy: you would have loved the cottage.Judy: you would have loved the cottage.Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01529798893653033970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20735769.post-1158125074658099942006-09-13T06:24:00.000+01:002006-09-13T06:24:00.000+01:00I looked at all the photos down below and I have 2...I looked at all the photos down below and I have 2 words for you:

Absolutely charming!kenjuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07342414519714356343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20735769.post-1158100118557853802006-09-12T23:28:00.000+01:002006-09-12T23:28:00.000+01:00Thanks granny p. went the day well? Thanks granny p. went the day well?Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01529798893653033970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20735769.post-1158097169067657052006-09-12T22:39:00.000+01:002006-09-12T22:39:00.000+01:00lovely places - and good pictures - glad it was so...lovely places - and good pictures - glad it was so good.granny phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10208296185844897146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20735769.post-1158077700624794392006-09-12T17:15:00.000+01:002006-09-12T17:15:00.000+01:00GG: I did break all the rules but it was a brilli...GG: I did break all the rules but it was a brilliant sunny day.Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01529798893653033970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20735769.post-1158075115789941922006-09-12T16:31:00.000+01:002006-09-12T16:31:00.000+01:00I used to think you can wander around the moors an...I used to think you can wander around the moors and then just go home...not get lost, drop into holes and so on :-o

I just remembered The Secret Garden and the moor.neena maiya (guyana gyal)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01358313821005038118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20735769.post-1158060212594686692006-09-12T12:23:00.000+01:002006-09-12T12:23:00.000+01:00It's strange how the smell still lingers. I'm bad enough in public loos and now have a horror of being the old lady locked in the lavatory since my less agile fingers have struggles with the locks.Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01529798893653033970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20735769.post-1158059380861455802006-09-12T12:09:00.000+01:002006-09-12T12:09:00.000+01:00Whoo I'm jealous, it look absolutely lovely. We did see ponies - quite different to the Exmoor ones - and I assumed they were wild. One moggy looking one tried to nibble my leather jacket. I want things like Lucozade and Dettol (for cleaning - I may be Scottish but we don't drink everything, you know. Well not if there's anything else on the go.) Your photos tke the edge off my longing for the greenness and freshness of old Britain again, especially as we're on the frazzled, brown tinderstick end of summer here in California.

The cottage is beautiful! Idyllic. And it sounds like you had a great time wandering around in that moody countryside. Are there any wild ponies left on Dartmoor?Sam, Problem-Child-Bridehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06650421439038979462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20735769.post-1157983178512394082006-09-11T14:59:00.000+01:002006-09-11T14:59:00.000+01:00Banana: thanks honey. The Dartmoor mist lies over the Burrator as if it's Arthurian times and the lady is about to lift the sword above the waters. It's like returning to a bygone age without crass modern interuptions, where you can just simply be together.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
